Local Walks & Nature Trails

Below are some circular routes mapped that start and finish at the hotel. They vary in distance so there is something for everyone! Please speak to reception for any more information or to print off a map.

The Clarendon Way

The Clarendon Way runs from Salisbury to Winchester with a distance of 24 miles. The walk has been divided into 4 sections so pull on your walking boots and enjoy the Hampshire countryside.

The Test Way

The Test Way being 44 a distance of miles begins at Inkpen and follows much of the course of the River Test to Eling. The walk has been divided into 8 sections with several sections starting or finishing in Stockbridge.

Danebury Hillfort

Danebury is an Iron Age hillfort covering 12 acres just a stone's throw from Stockbridge. Ponies and sheep are free to roam here, dogs are not allowed in the hillfort itself but can roam around the perimeter and surrounding fields.

Stockbridge Marshes

Less than 100 metres from the entrance of the hotel, dogs and their owners, walkers and runners can access the 100 acres of Stockbridge Marshes, that sit just behind the High Street and run along the River Test towards Houghton. An area of outstanding natural beauty, the Marshes provide wonderfully easy access to Hampshire’s great outdoors.
